ICOC for 'OTHER' VEHICLES
Some vehicles are exempt from EC Type Approval and a manufacturer's COC cannot be purchased. In this case, an ICOC may be your only option.
Sometimes, due to vehicle age and manufacturer logistics, a COC is also unavailable. In these cases a Eurocert ICOC can be supplied and this may meet your needs.
Please refer to the vehicle groups below, or contact us for further advice if needed.
QUADS
Most quadricycles or ATVs are manufactured for off-road or agricultural use, meaning they are not ECWVTA compliant due to type (no COC available). However, many registering authorities may still ask for the vehicle's COC. In this instance, we supply an ICOC to assist with vehicle import/export and registration issues.
MOTORCYCLES
Off-road (TRIALS, ENDURO, PIT BIKE, etc.) motorcycles are usually non-ECWVTA compliant due to type (no COC available). However, registering authorities may still ask for the vehicle's COC. In this instance, we may be able to supply an ICOC to assist with vehicle import/export and registration issues.
MOTORHOMES, CARAVANS, TRAILERS
Motorhomes (AKA 'Camping Car', AKA Camper Van) are difficult to get a manufacturer's COC (ECWVTA) for. Because one company makes the chassis and another may make the body. But there is a Eurocert ICOC for your motorhome. An ICOC can assist with vehicle import/export and registration issues.
In most of Europe, unlike in the UK, non-motorised trailers have to be registered. This means you may be looking for a COC for a caravan or a [cargo] trailer, horsebox, Trailer-tent, etc. The good news is there is a Eurocert ICOC for your trailer.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
Trucks, Ex-army, heavy plant, construction vehicles, tractors, and lighter goods vehicles may not be ECWVTACOC compliant. However, registering authorities may still ask for the vehicle's COC. In this instance, we may be able to supply an ICOC to assist with vehicle import/export and registration issues. We specialise in tractors, ex-army and agricultural.
Pre-1990s VEHICLES
This applies to all vehicles of any age and any type that were manufactured before 1990. These are non-ECWVTA compliant due to age (no COC available). However, registering authorities may still ask for the vehicle's COC. In this instance, we can supply an ICOC to assist with vehicle import/export and registration issues.
ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Electric bicycles, electric scooters, and electric disabled mobility devices are often exempt from ECWVTA type approval or FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY; therefore a manufacturer's COC would not be available. But this does not help you if you need one or if you are being asked for one. For the filling of forms, an ICOC may be just what you need for your electric vehicle.
